Meditating with crystals can help to heighten or calm feelings depending on which ones you choose. It is worth experimenting with different crystals to find out what they ‘feel’ like. Rose Quartz is a particularly good one to meditate with as it has a gentle energy and is very calming. However, if you want a crystal that is more powerful then Clear Quartz is ideal as it amplifies energies which will offer more sensation/feelings during meditation.

Everyone will find their own way of meditating. What suits one person will not necessarily suit another. Be adventurous, try different ways of meditating and see what you feel comfortable with.

Ideally to meditate you should try to find a place where you feel comfortable, relaxed and where you wont be disturbed. Sit so that you are comfortable with your feet firmly on the floor and with your legs uncrossed.

It is important to take a few minutes to relax your body and mind. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. As you breathe in feel the air filling your lungs. As you breathe out you feel all the tension/stress leaving your body.


It is worth noting that some of you may find meditation difficult to begin with. The purpose of meditating is for us to still our physical thoughts (beta waves) and try to suppress them for 5 to 10 minutes. This allows us to quieten the body and shut out all the hustle and bustle of every day life. These quiet periods allow our mind and body to relax for a few minutes and rest. Meditation also helps to promote and develop our intuition.

Workshops are now available for those wishing to learn how to meditate. These workshops will give you the basics of how to meditate so that you will be able to practice at home. Some may find it beneficial to attending further workshops as you learn how to meditate properly.
